You may or may not of tried to do this event but if you have then you may of noticed that the Chaparral 2J Race Car blitzes everyone up as it is fast in corners and straights. Unless you have a Chaparral 2J Race Car,70 then never mind but if you don't then listen up. When you pull ahead, you will probably gain a large lead. There isn't much to say, but don't slam cars too hard, for your downforce is high and easy to upset. After you finally win this one, complete the other. This is the hard part: you will have to block the fast LM cars from taking your spot, so looking backwards in third person is the best way to drive on the straights.ģ. After a lap or two, you should be pretty close to first, if you haven't reached it. At the corners, cut inside to overtake your opponents.

The second race on Indy is the toughest, so get that out of the way first: You will need to slipstream to stay up with the others. Set the car's downforce (Body and Aero) to the highest possible number on the front and back.Ģ. Go to car settings (the wrench icon) and tune your transmission to a top speed of 242. Now, it's Race Day! Follow the next steps to ensuring gold.ġ. Be sure to get every bit of HP possible into your Vette. In the tuning shop, buy every high end modification you can, including the supercharger. Now that your Corvette is light and ready for the tracks, you will need power to keep up with those LM Cars.ĥ. There are so many legendary (fantasy) tracks in GT PSP which never made their way to the PS3 games! Which is sad, because some of them are absolutely fabulous and fluently to drive, especially with fast cars. Something else worth of mentioning are the tracks. Unless you're more than 2-3 seconds in the lead, you might get in trouble there. But if you push away the rubber band effect will make sure that the oppents will be MUCH quicker than you on the Döttinger Höhe straight (btw, that's the village where I grew up.). Why? Because as long as you know when to break and when to accelerate, the AI will trail you all the way to Nürburg within a second but won't have a real chance to overtake you. For example: When your're in the lead (S-Rank) on the Nordschleife, it is better to drive tactically "save and slowly" instead of pushing ahead. It's too bad that the rubber band effect destroys a lot of the immersion. The AI on the other hand is actually really good, the other cars don't stick on their line and even try to overtake you on the outside of a corner if your're a little too slow (on S-Rank, that is). I HATE those! Because each and every car except the leader is nothing more than cannon fodder, an unnecessary obstacle on your way to the lead but - by principle (!) - not an "opponent" in terms of speed. Well, at least there are no "catch the rabbit" races like in GT5/6. Racing against 3 rivals, especially on the Nordschleife, is not really satisfying, not when you're used to racing against 30+ opponents in Project Cars. While driving is as good as it can get, racing is a whole other issue. Driving cars (without aides) like the Ruf Yellow Bird and of course the TOM's Castrol Supra just makes a lot of fun. It is absolutely fluent and the cars feel exactly like you would expect it from a "Gran Turismo" game. A couple of weeks ago I grabbed Gran Turismo PSP for my Vita during one of the latest PSN sales.
